How to Create and Manage Suburb Profiles
Suburb Profiles allow you to highlight key features of specific areas, complete with text, imagery, and local points of interest. Follow the steps below to create, edit, or manage your Suburb Profiles.
Accessing Suburb Profiles
To get started, navigate to Media, then select Suburb Profiles.
Here, you’ll see a list of all existing profiles, including each profile’s image, title, and creation date.
To edit or delete a profile, click the ellipsis (three dots) on the right-hand side of the profile.
To add a new profile, click the + Profile button.
Step 1: Creating a Suburb Profile
Once you click + Profile, the Create Suburb Profile – Step 1 screen will open.
Select the suburb:
Type at least three characters of the suburb name to begin your search.
Choose the correct suburb and postcode combination from the list of results.
Enter profile details:
Headline / Title: This should be a concise, attention-grabbing line that identifies the suburb.
Blurb: A short introductory paragraph that sets the tone and leads into the main content.
Body Text: The main section of your profile, where you can include detailed information about the suburb.
Note: The Headline, Blurb, and Body Text fields must all be completed before you can proceed.
When you’re ready, click Create to save your progress and move to Step 2 — Additional Information.
Step 2: Adding a Profile Image
Next, you’ll upload an image to visually represent your suburb.
Click Add Image, then select Files.
Your file explorer will open — choose the image you want to upload and click Open.
Once selected, click Upload Files to attach it to your profile.
To edit or delete an image, use the ellipsis on the right-hand side of the image field.
Step 3: Adding Places of Interest
You can enhance your Suburb Profile by including local Places of Interest.
These appear under the Places heading in the profile widget and help readers discover more about the area.
Important:
If you add a Place of Interest, you may also need to create a corresponding Places Page (if one doesn’t already exist).
This ensures that the link to the place opens correctly within the system.
