Before you begin: request your office credentials
Before you can connect First AML, you'll need a set of office credentials from First AML.
To generate these, email [email protected]. First AML will provide you with a Client ID and a Client Secret, which you'll use to connect your office to Zenu (see Connecting your office to First AML below).

Request for First AML office credentials - Zenu integration
Hi First AML Onboarding Team,
We're a Zenu customer and would like to activate the First AML integration for our office. To connect our account, we need our office credentials (Client ID and Client Secret).
Could you please generate these for us and provide them at your earliest convenience?
Thanks
Choosing your AML verification policy
Your AML verification policy controls how and whether owner verification is enforced across your listings. To set it, go to Office Settings → Preferences and find the AML Verification Policy setting.
You have three options:
Not Required
Verification is optional. Nothing changes in your existing workflow, and listings can progress to Sneak Preview and On Market without any verification step.Manual Verification
Best if you use a third-party AML product outside of Zenu. With this policy, listings can't move to Sneak Preview or On Market until the owners have been verified. Because verification happens outside the platform, a Master user confirms it manually on the listing page once the owners have been checked in your other product.First AML Integration
Verification runs through the First AML integration. Owners are submitted to First AML for identity verification, and listings can't progress to Sneak Preview or On Market until verification is complete. The rest of this guide covers this option.
Connecting your office to First AML
If you've chosen the First AML policy, the next step is a one-time connection using the credentials First AML provided.
Ensure you have selected First AML Integration in Office Settings.
Open any listing.
On the owner card, click Connect First AML.
Enter the Client ID and Client Secret provided by First AML.
Once connected, First AML is set up for your whole office, you only need to do this once.
Recommended workflow
The smoothest way to use the integration is to submit owners for verification from within Zenu, so the case flows straight through to your First AML app.
Create the property as an Appraisal or Pre-Listing in Zenu, as you normally would. There are no compliance requirements at the appraisal stage, so you can prepare the listing, property details, images, and copy.
Add the owners to the property.
Send the owners to First AML from the listing. This generates a case for the owners in First AML.
Open your First AML app, where you'll see the case ready to continue, and complete the verification there.
Move the listing to On Market once verification is confirmed, then proceed as normal.
Verification statuses
While a case is in progress, Zenu displays the status of each owner:
Pending — verification is underway and has not yet been completed.
Approved — the owner has been successfully verified.
You can't move a listing to Sneak Preview or On Market while any owner is still Pending.
Alternative: creating a case directly in First AML
If you'd prefer to create the case in First AML directly, you won't send it from Zenu. In that case, Zenu won't track the verification automatically, so a Master user will need to verify the owners manually on the listing page, the same way they would under the Manual verification policy.
Selling and settlement
When the property sells, you can move the listing to Sold as usual. However, you won't be able to move it to Settled until the purchaser has also been submitted to First AML and their status shows as Approved. Complete the same steps as above, sending the purchasers to First AML to create a case.
