How to import Contacts, Prospects & Appraisals

Updated over 5 months ago

To import Contacts, the minimum columns required are as follows:

  • contact_identifier

  • contact_first_name

  • contact_surname

  • contact_email_address, contact_mobile OR contact_phone_home

  • contact_team_member_1

To import Prospects or Appraisals, the minimum columns required are as follows:
Addresses must be valid as per the Australia Post Postcode Database.

  • Property_Identifier

  • property_street_number

  • property_street_name

  • property_suburb

  • property_postcode

  • property_state

  • Property_Full_Address

  • property_timeline_status

  • property_team_member_1

The Zenu importer is quite strict on what data can be imported, therefore it is required that the information being imported is clean and accurate. Data is considered clean when the correct values are in the appropriate columns and no data is missing or inconsistent.

For example, "Mr John Smith" would need to be split up into their respective columns as below:

CONTACT_TITLE

CONTACT_FIRST_NAME

CONTACT_SURNAME

Mr

John

Smith

Other common data fidelity issues include:

  • Incorrect mobile numbers; "0000 000 000", "0412 345 667 - J", "0485 691 2"

  • Property addresses incorrectly formatted or missing suburb/postcode information

  • Email addresses in invalid formats

You can access the CSV documentation and the Zenu accepted CSV file in under Imports in your Settings.

Once you have entered all of your data into the CSV, please follow the below instructions to upload the file into Zenu:

  1. Go to Settings > Import Tools & Logs > Imports

  2. Click on New Import, upload the file and click Next

  3. The processor will then check each row and advise you if they will successfully import or not. If the row will fail, it will give you the reason why and the opportunity to fix the items prior to importing the file into your Zenu account.

  4. If you have a lot of errors, you may wish to delete the file in Zenu, fix the errors and re-upload the file again.

  5. Upon re-uploading, the checker will re-check the file and you can fix any remaining issues that have been flagged by the checker and then import the file.
