Global Design Settings – Site Design

Navigating Global settings in Web Builder

Updated over 2 months ago

The Global Section under Site Design allows you to customise settings that affect your entire website. These options provide control over backgrounds, fonts, spacing, icons, social media links, and more.

Accessing Global Settings

  1. Navigate to Site Design.

  2. Select Site Styles.

Any changes made here will instantly update all applicable areas of your website.

Page and Section Backgrounds

In this section, you can configure:

  • Page and Section Background Colours

  • Section Width

  • Text Editor Background Colour

To change a background colour, click on the existing colour field. You can select a colour in multiple ways:

  • Enter a HEX, RGB, or HSL code for an exact brand match.

  • Use the Colour Slider and Shading options: Move the slider to choose a base colour and adjust shading with the selector. Colour codes update in real time.

  • Use the Colour Picker tool: Select a colour directly from your screen. Your cursor will change to the picker icon — hover over the desired colour and click to select it.

Tip: Note down the colour code when using the Slider or Picker to ensure consistency across your website.

Global Spacing and Fonts

  • Global Padding: Set padding for Mobile, Tablet, and Desktop devices.

  • Global Horizontal Margins: Adjust margins site-wide.

  • Global Base Font Size: Choose a default font size for your site.

Icons

The Bed, Bath, Car, and Other Icons settings allow you to select the preferred icon style:

  • Select an option from the dropdown menu.

  • If you choose anything other than Text, a preview will appear on the right-hand side.

Social Media Settings

  • Floating Social Media Links: Choose a Light, Dark, or Not Show option.

  • Share Links: Choose Light, Dark, or Colour theme.

Quick Appraisal Background

The Quick Appraisal Setting lets you select a background colour for the Quick Appraisal area, using the same colour selection methods as other background settings.

Saving Your Changes

Once you’ve customised your Global Settings, click the Save button at the top of the screen to apply your changes across your website.
