Ongoing costs are charged at 12c per Text Message unit (or less if you choose a listing Text Package).
If this feature is enabled on your account, the following listing Text Packages are available which you can charge back to your vendors as Vendor Paid Marketing.
Gold - Pre-paid $100.00 (1000 texts @ $0.10 per text)
Silver - Pre-paid $50.00 (455 texts @ $0.11 per text)
Bronze - Pay as you go (@ $0.12 per text)
Not Allowed
Your usage will be added to your monthly invoice.
Here's a little further information regarding Text Messaging:
1. Message = the full message that is sent out, these are counted as a single message.
2. Message unit = An SMS is broken down by the length of characters. Once a message reaches 160 characters it will count as two message units (whilst still being a single message). This is further multiplied the longer the message goes.
The character count methodology of counting message units is based on the global SMS protocol itself, where a single message unit is considered to be 160 characters (when entirely alpha-numeric). A message greater than 160 characters will then be counted as multiple message units as per the message length. The SMS protocol does have a theoretical character limit of 39,015 characters. Please take into consideration the number of message units that will be charged based on the character length of your message.
